THE FARM AT PENNY LANE PAVILION

ARC402 Design + Build Studio, Summer 2021

for The Farm at Penny Lane
263 Penny Ln, Pittsboro, NC 27312

A studio of eleven students designed and built a pavilion for the UNC Farm at Penny Lane, which focuses on therapeutic experiences for people who experience debilitating mental illnesses. The entirety of the farm has other projects happening, such as a Tine Homes Village in construction for patients to live at. This pavilion included a divided, enclosed shed for the people at the farm, as well as an open-air, shaded area that can be flexible and used for different activities, such as yoga or simply cooling off from the heat.
